About Me
I'm a Web Application & Front-end Developer from the Metro Detroit area specializing in design and development of custom web tools, applications and themes. Since July of 2014 I have worked for Oakland University and currently serve as the University Website Director.
For over 15 years I have been responsible for building and maintaining sites across a number of different Content Management Systems and E-commerce platforms including WordPress, Ghost, Percussion CM1, OpenCart, Joomla, Magento, Able Commerce, Concrete5 and more.
I'm well-versed in a variety of Javascripts (react/next.js, jQuery, Typescript) and server-side languages (PHP, C#, NodeJS). I have extensively worked with both Bootstrap and Foundation front-end frameworks. SCSS is my preferred styling language but I also have experience working with LESS.
I graduated from Eastern Michigan University in 2008 with a BFA in Graphic Design. My strong design background allows me to produce intuitive, engaging web applications from top to bottom. I'm able to take a project from initial concept all the way to a finished product.
When I'm not busy building or designing things on the web I love spending time with my family, traveling, skiing, soccer, mountain biking, and walks with my dog. I enjoy learning about new things and always try to stay on top of the latest developments in this ever changing industry.
